The Date


Nicòlo, Haruna and I sat under a large oak tree and talked about what we had answered at our test and talked about the incompetent bitch, Vanessa, in our class.

“Hey, people!” Kath ran up to us and waved at us. We smiled at her and said hello.

“Kin? May I talk to you for a second?” Kath smiled at me and turned around to walk to the other oak tree, a couple of meters away. I looked at the others but they just said ‘go’. I got to my feet and was about to go when Kath called out to me to hurry. I ran up to her and she grabbed my hands.

“Would you assist me on a date?” Kath’s eyes shined whit hope and I was about to say no, when she said,

“You see, Alexis asked me out on a date, but I have never been on a date before and I was wondering if we could go on a double-date so that I won’t look so stupid if I don’t know what to do!” Kath took a deep breath after the long sentence and looked at me to get my answer.

A double-date.  Well, I suppose that I could invite Haruna, I really like her, but I don't know if she likes me in that way.I'll just ask her and say  say ‘yes’ and go on that date anyway, for Kath’s sake.

“Yeah, of course I will go, when is it?” I looked at her and she sighed in relief.
“Oh, I love you!” She grabbed my face and kissed me on my cheek. I flinched by the pain from her black nails and tried to smile in her grip.

“It’s on Saturday! You could invite some friend of yours and then show up at the Snakeville Cinema, 6 o’ clock.” Kath smiled at me and she turned around to go back to Nicòlo and Haruna and then  she called back over her shoulder;

“And remember, this is our little secret…”  I stood there dumbfounded but took myself together and plastered a smile on my face. It’s only a couple of hours. It’s not a big deal… I can get trough that without difficulties. I hope

---- Snakeville Cinema 6:01 pm Saturday ----

Haruna and I was standing outside the cinema and waited for Kath and Alexis to show up. I spaced out a bit, not caring about Haruna which seemed a little out of place.

“So, Kin-san, it’s a double date whit Kath and Alexis? What are we going to do after the movie?” Haruna poked me in the shoulder and I jumped in surprise.

“Uh, I think we are going to go to the park and have a picnic…” I turned around to look the other way when a face popped up in front of me.

“Hey Kin! Hey Haruna!” Kath and Alexis looked wonderful together. Kath was wearing a knee length, strapless, red dress with ruffles in the back. The dress was embroidered whit black and silver treads that formed a big spider web on the sides. Alexis on the other hand matched her perfect. He was wearing figure-fitting black pants, a white blouse whit a silver elf on and a red and black leather jacket. The jacked was long and loose-fitting. But it completed the picture perfect.

“So, we’ll just go for The Weeping Forest then?” Alexis sneaked his arm around Kath and sort of smirked when she gasped in surprise. She didn’t remove his arm, she thought it was rather romantic and leaned into his chest.

“Let’s go buy tickets then” Haruna pointed to the ticket-booth and nudged me in the side.

“Yeah…” Alexis smirked and led Kath to the booth.

---Snakeville Cinema, 8:50 pm ---

“Oh my GOD! That was the BEST MOVIE EVER! You like saw Satinka just rip that guy’s head of whit a SCREAMING blast! And she was soo scary..!” Kath jumped up an down and I couldn’t contain the smirk on my lips when Alexis ogled her. Alexis noticed that I watched him and his cheeks colored beet red when he found out that I just caught him ogling Kath’s breasts.

Alexis sort of ‘ah-hem’ and said, “We could go to the park now and just relax for a bit” His cheeks looked a bit flustered but it was soon replaced by embarrassment when Kath took his hand around her waist.

“Let’s go then.” I took Haruna in the elbow, a little harder than I expected and Haruna yelped while I dragged her to the park.

The short walk to the park was spent in silence. Everyone enjoyed each other’s company and thinking their own thoughts. I wonder what’s going to happen now, the two turtledoves seems like they are in another world. I poked Haruna in the elbow and whispered:

“I wanna go home…”

“Kin! We have to stick around them to the date is finished! It’s rude to just go!” She tossed an angry glare at me and I just turned nonchalant on my head.

“Oh, let’s sit down in the grass under that three!” Kath pointed to a nice spot under a big maple tree a couple of meters away.

We sat down in the slightly wet grass and glanced up at the sky. It was thousands of thousands of stars. It was a beautiful night whit no skies on the sky.

I lay down and watched the sky. I saw that Haruna was shaking and sat up again and laid my hands around her and pulled her into my chest. She mumbled a ‘thanks’ and shifted to lie better in my arms. “Hey, don’t get too comfortable here…!” I tried not to smirk when she mumbled out a sorry and tried to push away. “Easy, I’m just kidding…” She leaned back again and sighed. I smirked and kissed her on the cheekOh my god, did I just do that..?

Kath and Alexis was in their own little world. Whit Kath in his arms Alexis was in bliss. He had always wanted to do this. To hold her, to kiss her and be close to her. He knew in the moment he saw her that it was love at first sight. He squeezed her a little closer and leaned his cheek against hers. She turned her head around and brushed her lips against his. She felt his whole body tensed and she did it again.

The first kiss wasn’t planned, it just happen but the second was so much more passionate. She tilted her head to the right and blushed from the top of her head to the graceful line of her neck. Alexis held her a little closer and whispered ‘thank you…’ She shivered and melted against him.

Haruna and I had watched the whole thing and I was amazed. And jealous. I didn’t think that Alexis was that kind of guy, and I envied him. I nudged Haruna on the cheek and she turned around whit stars in her eyes.

“What?!” She furiously whispered.

“We’ll just let them be, okay…?” I nodded towards the couple that was kissing passionately and smirked towards Haruna.

“Yeah, they manage fine whit out us at this part…” We got to our feet as quiet as we could but they didn’t seem to notice.

We walked towards the park exit when I draped my arm over Haruna’s shoulder and I said;

“So, wanna go get some ice cream?” I kissed her cheek and looked back over my shoulder.

Kath and Alexis was in a tight embrace and tears was running down her face. She seemed so happy that something good was happening to her after all…
I’m so glad you asked me out on this date… I love you Alexis…
